I just joined, thanks for having me! I have a bullmastiff, who's name is Tahlia. She turned 3 this September and I'm her second home, I got her when she was about 10 months old. She's an absolute sweetheart and I couldn't ask for a better pup!

I have another dog, Alphie. He's a Min Pin x Chihuahua. He's great, I got him from a rescue last April and he turned 7 this year. He was a stray originally and almost got put down at a kill shelter, but thankfully he was saved in time by the rescue. He's a goof, but we're so thankful to have the little guy.

I also have two cats, they'll both be 3 next year and I got them as kittens. My male is Benji, who is older by 3 months. I got him from a rescue at 5 months. My female, Fae, is from a rehoming (a stray had given birth) and she came home at 2 months. They're both great and I couldn't imagine life without them.

Lastly we have the exotics. :D
I have 3 smaller parrots, and a Syrian hamster. My parrot's names are Mimi, Yuka and Kumo; and my hamster is Kirika.
All of them are amazing.

Yuka, my female Pineapple Green Cheek Conure:IMG_0523.JPG

Kumo, my male Violet Fischer Lovebird:IMG_3471.JPG

And finally, Kirika my female Tortoiseshell Syrian hamster: IMG_4527.JPG

Sorry for so many pictures :D
Looking forward to being on the forum! :)

Sounds like you're a person after my own heart.

Don't ever apologize for posting pictures, we all love to see them.

Looks like you have a lovely collection of furry and feathered companions. I can truly relate....

3 dogs
Close to 100 birds
A tank full of tropical fhishies.

Best of wishes and hope to be hearing more about you and your crew soon :).

Thank you! :)
Wow, lots of birds! I can't imagine caring for that many. What kinds do you have?

I adore fish, but mostly I've stuck with betta's over the years. My one of 4 years passed a while back, they really are lovely fish.

All of them are so pretty!

Budgies are wonderful parrots, I've had a few in the past. While I've never had a Parrotlet, I've heard great things about them! Good luck with the babies if you decide to hand raise the little p'lets. :)

Thank youm

I love Tahlia's face, she looks like such a sweet dog. Is it pronounced Talya, or Taleeeia?
Alphie is a darling little guy, and the kitties, well kitties are adorable always.

It looks like the Parrotlets won't be coming my way after all  The fellow wants to sell - 2 parents, 5 babies, cage, and all accessories for $550.00. I asked him, if he'd be willing to sell 2 babies seperate, to which he replied in the affirmative. Then I asked for the price, and he emailed me back ~$220.00 .

I said no thanks :(.

I have had Lovebirds in the past for close to 20 years, so I know what they're like. But, I have never had Tiels or Conures. What are they like?

Tahlia's name is pronounced like this pretty much, Tahl-lee-ah.

I'm sorry it didn't go through, while I'm not familiar too much with p'lets and their prices, $220 doesn't seem too high for two parrotlets. I paid $200 for Yuka, and that was on the cheaper side since I went with a breeder as opposed to a pet store. Parrots just can be rather expensive I think.

Cockatiels are usually complete sweethearts. Mimi is a cuddle bug and is content to get scritches for hours. :D
They're typically a very laid back species and are great for first time parrot owners for this reason.

Conures, especially the green cheeks, are a bit more testy. Yuka is a nippy girl and it took quite a bit of time for our interactions not to end in bloodshed.
Nippiness is pretty common, with conures.
I adore her though, and once you get to know their body language it lessens. She's a little clown really and has the personality to rival any large parrot. :D
