Hello everyone in this community..I am glad to be a member in this mastiff forum.

I took an uncared male cane corso 5,5 months. He weighted 14 kg.
Now he is 12 months an he weights 38 kg.
He eats 500gr / day (250 gr/ meal) royal canin and arden grange alternately.
The corso looks pretty fine, really healthy but according to others opinion and mine looks underweight.
He seems like a 7-8 months cane corso...You can distinguish his last rib. I have to upload some pictures...
Thanks in advance for the help and the options. Best Regards

Hi and welcome to the board! Yes pictures please will help us out but keep in mind that people in general think that healthier pets are too thin and that the chubbier ones are healthier. It is why the animal population is suffering as much from obesity as the human population :(

thanks for the quick reply!

What about the kg concerning the age of the corso? 1 year old, 38 kg, 65-66 cm high...
What about the nutrition?

here are the photos...photo(2).jpgphoto.jpgphoto(1).jpg

Welcome to the forum! What is your dog's name? In my opinion he doesn't look underweight; he is still growing and will fill in as he matures :)

Hi there!
Argie!
I m just wondering if Argie will catch up and grow naturally...because of the growing gap, between 2-5 months that was a little bit uncared..

He doesn't look underweight to me and there are no rules for where they should be at this stage, each dog will grow at his/her own rate so you will have to wait to see how he matures out. Don't let people think that you should be feeding more or that he should be bigger, his genetics were determined long before now and he will be what he is.

You re speaking right! But the only comaprison that i make - while trying to be objective and realistic - is his parents and more over his siblings! They have grown faster and seem like they have gain the 90% of the finally body structure.
The thing is that he is adorable, healthy, smart (i can add a lot of adjectives!) and definitely part of the familly...

Hello and welcome. Why are you interchanging the foods? Personally I would stick with the Arden Grange and forget the Royal Canin. Lovely looking pup by the way.

welcome to the forum. He looks great :) I wouldn't be concerned about his weight at all. Ignore the scale go by his build. Handsome boy, looking forward to watching him grow up

Thank you all for your opinions! I ll continue with Arden and keep you update for his growing!

I believe everything is fine but wanted to hear from "older" owners cc!

Welcome! He is adorable and I think his weight looks good in the pictures :) It's good for them to be lean as they grow. He will fill out as he matures.

Thanks for the warm welcoming and also for the good words...
I started searching about Argie's body structure when they told me that at 12 months CC complete their 90% of their "final" shape and he should be in this period at least 45-50 kg..
