Performatrin Ultra?

Has anyone here fed Performatrin Ultra? I have Tony on Earthborn Holistic Coastal Catch, but went to the pet store to get another bag and they are not carrying it anymore. They are really pushing this Performatrin Ultra, they have signs plastered all over the store and suggested that I switch to it. I looked at the guaranteed analysis and it looks pretty close to the Earthborn.

Any feedback is welcome. And any other good brand suggestions are welcome... our pet store is pretty small so our selection is a bit limited.

Thanks :)

Have you tried Acana? I think it's in the same price range as Earthborne. At least in my country they sell for roughly the same amount. Mine did best on Pacifica. There's also Taste of the Wild that's a bit cheaper, but roughly the same quality. I used two bags, but unfortunately mine is allergic to something in it, so I had to switch. More expensive but great quality is Orijen, but it made my dog smell awful and gave him soft poop, toward the end of the bag. Now I feed Brit Care Samon and potato and it looks ok. I personally look at the ingredients and avoid food that has anything but meat as the first ingredient, or contains corn, wheat or large quantities of fillers. Also, I usually look at the provenience of the meat.

Thanks for the suggestions! I know that my pet store does not sell Acana or Orijen, but will do a search and see if there are any stores closeish that may carry them. I think my store has Taste of the Wild though. I will have to see if I can pull up the guaranteed analysis for that!

Thanks!

Not all of them have chicken fat. Maybe the ingredients are different for Europe, but none of the puppy formulas have it. Neither do the Pacific Stream and Sierra Mountain formulas. There might be others, I haven't researched them all, but from what I can see they add canola oil instead of chicken fat. Anyway, I fed mine two bags, he seemed ok at first, but by the middle of the second one he developed the mother of all itches. He hasn't been all that great on Acana grain inclusive and Orijen. Delicate as a flower this one.
