she is very pretty WTF...but Im sorry I have to stand by what i think and I dont think she is 100% DDB. She just doesnt have the wrinkle or head shape to be 100%. This is just my humble opinion though and really shouldnt count for much. You love your baby and that is definately what counts!

Continuing from your last thread as to whether or not your dog is full DDB...I really doubt it, but how much does that matter to you? If you love her, you love her...

But I just dug up a couple of pics from when Mateo was 5-6 months old:

The main thing that jumps out at me is the longer muzzle on your pup; plus DDBs have a longer "drop ear", with some heavier skin wrinkling and folds around the face...

True, most go through an "awkward" phase, where things don't quite line up (and their full head doesn't show itself until adulthood)...but these characteristics should be present from birth.

Definitely a cutie! But definitely not a pure breed by any stretch of the imagination. But still beautiful!

I agree. I've looked at so many ddbs lately cuz I have four weeks until mine get here tht I really don't see any DDB in there. Cane? Pitty? Some other cross in there but for sure not a DDB. I'm sorry to say but really it just doesn't fit the breed at all just my opinion. Sorry

i am still saying staff as you sore the mum and she is ddb then i would think a local staff got there before/if she was covered by a ddb a loving member of the family is worth more than all the money in the world

for all out there we have a problem with a lot of staff's being put in shelter /dog homes or sadly put to sleep manly because they have bin the dog for young lads then when they setall down have children the staff is just not trusted or they just get bored of them so there is a bit of a deny there a staff attached here at the present sad i know

I thought this from maybe 2 months when I went to get her there was a blue staff there as well alarm bells then started ringing. I confronted the breeder yesterday and she said the staff was nuted. Do you think I have a case here as I paid a lot of money for a full breed ddb not show standard but ddb all the same. I will not give my dog back though as we love her to bits. But maybe some money back.

No offense, but if it were me, I'd ask for every bit of my money back. IMO, the breeder completely ripped you off & I wouldn't dare give her the dog back. It's strange that the breeder told you if people said she wasn't full DDB or didn't look like it she would give you a refund. That would've been enough of a red flag for me. And if she's that willing to give you your money back then you should have no fight. She obviously knows what she did wrong.

I would definitely look into what you could do to get some money back. But your first step would be to go to your vet to have a breed test done on your pup. They cost about 60 dollars. And if it turns out that you get results on paper that your pup has other breeds in it's blood lines- i would surely try to get some of your money back- this person should be exposed should the results come out that they sold you this pup under false pretense- that is fraud.

The DNA test will show an approx guess as what breeds are in your dog's lineage. I'm not sure if they are 100% accurate but if your baby was full DDB then the test would come back showing her parents were DDBs & their parents, & I think it only goes back to great grandparents but I could be wrong. We tested the accuracy of the test one time with a friends full blooded old English sheepdog, his results came back sheepdogs across the board so I'd say it's pretty accurate depending on which test you do. The test he got was a blood test & cost around $200.

I just googled some pics of red nose pitbulls for comparison. I'm not saying your pup is or has pit in her but I'm thinking I see some characteristics of a pit in your pup so there's a possibility she's got some in her blood.

Yeah she is amazing strong good looking etc it's not about our little girl now is about if I have been lied to. Also I'm feeding a ddb diet and needed to know for this reason aswell. She said she was not bred like the short stocky ddb but a more athletic type is this at all possible.
