  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

See you later Max.

So sorry to hear about Max. I feel like I knew him from all of your stories. You made his last years some good ones... he was a lucky boy to have you as his person. Thinking of you.

Rest easy, big guy.

So sorry for your loss. We grieve for you and Max. A dog fills a place in our heart that none else can. You did your best for him, is easily seen. He was lucky to have you, and you him. Think of the joy you gave each other when you miss him. Run free Max.

If we lived closer I would bring Norman over for a visit. When we lost our last Rottie my friend brought her girl over to hug and it made me feel better!

My heart goes out to you. This little forum has given me a community of friends in similar situations, so when one of you hurts I hurt. Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way. We're all here for you :( I never knew Max personally but it sure did feel like it.

Thanks guy,
Its been just over a week and I still get a little down when I realise he isnt here or i realise I can whistle or go to the kichen with out thinking about if he'll follow me.
BUT.... I have to man up and get it together. So last night I went to the pool where he went swimming and asked about them having a favorite rescue center. I came home and washed out his bed and his bowls, stuck his collars, leads and toys through the washing machine and bagged up his treats and food.
All his stuff (thats too big for jack) will be going to a place called Happier Days For Strays. The woman said that they would be happy to get super sized stuff cos they get alot of tiny little leaders and stuff and they are no good for the giants. I'm going to buy them a slab of meat and a big bag of kibble too.
When I got home and started i was sad to get rid of the things that reminded me of him but happy that they would be helping to give another lost scared dog a better start.

That was a grand gesture of you to think of others in your time of need and sorrow.
I've been where you are and it is not a happy place to be.

Ive decided that it IS a happy place to be. Im happy that I knew him, happy that he was here and happy that he had a good last year. He saw out his autumn years looked after and content so all that makes me happy. I get sad when i miss him ut he doesn't know that and he doesn't miss me so feeling sad is just me.

Also happy that he taught me how to be with problem pooches, how far I can go, and he gave me the skills to show Jack how to be a happy dog. Also happy that his stuff will be going to help another lost pooch who needs help.

Wow. You're a great guy, cj. Max could not have had a better owner.

One year! A whole year.
I can't decide if it feels like a life time ago or like yesterday.
I'll never forget you big lad.
