Hi I am new to this forum and I just got my 2.5 year old female named Portia .. have had her for about a week now and she has been eating fine and going the bathroom normally .. but got up this morning and fed her and she started to throw up (5 times) even after drink just water .. she has 2 cups of food in the morning and 3 and dinner . Is this a normal thing for them .. I first thought... new home and stuff but she has bee happy and playful all week until today. . Any ideas .. solid bowel movements and no blood either

Sometimes dogs puke.
I would keep watching her and check her food and water intake, make sure she is pooping ok and is acting normally.
If not take her to the vet and have her looked at.

Portia is stressed due to the environmental change. Rehomed pups require LOTS of patience and lots of space to decompress from the change. As long as she is drinking water, going pottying normally and playing normally, she will be fine.

What kind of food are you feeding her to feed her 6 cups of food per day?

There have been a number of food scares lately. Did this start after opening a new bag of food?
If so, I'd NOT feed from that bag again.

If not... I'd be keeping a close eye on her. Vomiting is not normal. It could be stress, or it could be something got stuck in the stomach and she's trying to get rid of it.

Be sure she's calm and hasn't had any excessive exercise before eating and drinking - and no strenuous exercise after eating, either.

How's she doing today? Any Updates??
