Good morning,
My name is Chris. We have a 2 year old DDB named Murphy's Law and my daughter Ashleigh's 4 month old German Shepard named Roscoe. 2 years ago I gave my husband Dave his birthday/xmas present. It was a road trip to the breeders to pick out his new DDB puppy. He has always wanted one. When we got out of the car the world erupted in loud, deep barks. Lots of barks. I did not know the breeders had both parents and all 4 grandparents at their house. Dave of course guess why we were there before we got to the front door. We went in and right to the room where the puppies and one grandmother were being shown to 2 other couples. They were just too cute. We picked the second largest male. Dave would not leave him or put him down to go meet the parents. This was a test the breeders like to do to see how you handled meeting 5 grown DDB at once. I pass with flying colors when I got pushed to a sit on the steps and took my getting licked by all of then. It was great to get all that affection. i fell in love and could not wait to bring our pup home. Murphy is the best dog I have ever had. He is easy to train. He was house broken in one day. It helps that I was not working and was with him all the time. We take walks 3 to 5 miles a day. We go to the parks and run and play. He loves to go 4 wheeling. The only thing he will not do is swim. He will walk/run in the water, play fetch in the water, follow you around, but when his belly is in the water thats it he wants out. We don't push him. He will swim if he wants to or not. Murphy really likes his new pup Roscoe. He is very gentle with him so far. Well thats all for now. I will post some pictures soon.
Thanks
Chris

What a great story-- I also went to the breeder to pick out my DDB pup, met the parents, and a few other Dogues outside. I thought the pictures they sent of the puppies were beyond adorable, but when I saw them in person, I was just overwhelmed with how gorgeous they were!

Welcome-- looking forward to pics. :)
