  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Thorin doing great!

Our rescue EM Thorin (2 year old) is adjusting nicely to his new home with us! Apparently at his previous residence he was left outside in a yard with little attention, so he's loving being an indoor member of the family now with full run of the house. He's very gentle and patient with the kiddos, getting along fine with our 7 year old Aussie cattledog (after a few mounting issues early on), and loves going for daily walkies around the park and occasionally the nearby open space trail. After about a week of sporadic eating habits, he finally started eating a healthy amount and is putting on weight nicely. We're slowly getting his coat back in order (previoius family apparently never bathed or brushed him). I have to say, after in the past having several other breeds both small and large, I'm completely sold on EMs. Incredibly sweet personality, he's fit right in with our family with zero issues (beyond our cat not liking him at all lol). Very very content family!

Was originally going to call him Mouse (from the Dresden Files), but my ten year old daughter wanted something from Tolkien, and after I vetoed Bilbo she suggested Thorin. "Hmmmm..." I said.... :)

Welcome aboard~ Thorin is a good looking pup! Thank you for rescuing him! It generally takes a rehomed dog about 8-12 months to totally trust their new owners. He will require TONS of patience, consistency in training and LOTS of love!
