I might still take you up on it, if everything goes smoothly we're planning IVF so we'd need to do this again at least once more.....on the other hand the folks who sell the fake bitch in heat scent just got back to me and its $20 a bottle, I didn't ask how big a bottle lol. BUT between it all I think I can get this to work!

(I just had someone in the Singer community ask me if, since he's an intact male, does he really careif the bitch is in heat? *sigh*)

Ruth what is your time line on this? Moo is due to come in to heat in the next 6-8 weeks so I can do a scent rub for you then, not sure how I would ship urine to you though. Moo does tend to pee on our pebbles in the garden so could chuck a hand full of those in a bag for you if you like, you can collect by FedEx. WTG on possible litter - keep me updated please!

Daisy is expected in September to October. I can get it sent to you. We could fedex it to you so you have it there quickly or I could ask my father in law to send it from Buffalo when he goes to pick up a shipment. He is usually in Buffalo about once a week.

I know this sounds like an insane topic/thread to those that dont breed but to a breeder this is how it goes. its a pita trying to find a teaser bitch at the time you need it.. old intact females are good for this as they usually go into heat repeatedly depending on the female. getting scent rags and urine samples is a good idea.. i suggest getting them from multiple bitches and keeping them in zip lock bags until u need it again.

That is my goal. I've been wracking my brain on the subject since Apollo's breeder and I first discussed possibly using him for stud a year ago, and I've had very little luck going through local clubs, mostly since I don't really want to join them. The couple reasonably respectable breeders I've managed to get in touch with locally don't have a bitch who's expected to be in heat at the right time. So I'm making do!

And I have to note that I totally expcted the reactions I got, but most other places I could have asked the same question would have had a snit at the idea of breeding at all, so I figured I could put up with folks amusement!
