With our perfect angels? :lolbangtable:

Dunno how it is with other Mastiff breeds, but I've warned people many times, no Fila will ever win obedience titles . . .

Some of the mastiff breeds have more of a desire than to work than others. Many english mastiffs have earned obedience, carting and rally-o titles. Although not something I have personally attempted yet. I think rally-o looks like a lot of fun. I might try that in the near furture in my "spare" time lol!

The ex-BF's show line Fila (although I suspect she has some Bull Mastiff in there rather than the dog we were told she was from) is more tuned to obedience type behavior than the working line dogs I've had. The working line Filas are more the type that you tell them what needs to be accomplished and just let 'em go do it their own way.

I found that most of the time it only took telling Buffy or Kharma to do something once and after that they'd take it upon themselves to see that the same task was done whenever necessary. They'd go out on their own if they heard a cow moving around in a different direction from the pasture, check to see if there were any outside the fence -- or even looking like they were thinking about going through the fence -- and put them back.

But obedience type work? They give you the "yah, I'll get back to you on that" look :D I have to admit I love that about them.
