What is the best age to neuter a Bullmastiff?

never unless you need to ...... and then as old as long you can put up with whatever problem it may be causing ...... as far as having the most effect on his temperament , I believe you'd need to neuter them before puberty , which I think is a poor choice ......

I didn't neuter mine until he was 18 months old. I had a contract with the breeder that he had to be neutered and on his recommendation and our vets we waited until he was 18 months. This gave his bones a chance to grow properly. It didn't change his temperament at all, he has always been the sweetest boy.

I kept my previous boy intact up until the end, and I believe that helped him fill out into quite the specimen. General consensus with these guys is to be kept intact until 18 months at a minimum, after that time, like Marke said, "as long you can put up with whatever problem it may be causing". My boy was same sex aggro. That was day to day life, and we just lived/dealt with it.
Don't neuter before he fills out, my recommendation is 2 years. :)

My male BM is almost 2.5 years old and has absolutely no aggression with any other dog (including un-neutered males), doesn't roam or hump. At this point we have no plan to neuter him. The breeder also had neuter stipulation in the contract.

Mine is going on 7 yo I am will be neutering him in the near future (something I didn´t consider in the past), for two main reasons: prevalence of testicular and prostate probelms in BM of age and having a 6 months great dane female at home...

Never, stop chopping away vital organs. That's way too cautious, you might as well cut the dog's legs off for fear of him stepping on a landmine.
