Would you like pictures of pups as they grow from breeders

...on the other hand some good breeders may be too busy with their dogs to get on the internet or be internet savvy.

I agree Kandie wish other breeders did the same.....

:)

I have been wondering, do you have a time line for your baby :)
You have been so patient!

I have a "rough" timeline, just waiting for her to go into heat.......fingers crossed its soon!! I have been pretty patient, but have learned sooooo much while waiting, so thats a plus. Im in no rush. Just really really anxious!! Lol.

When the time comes for me to get my pup, I would want weekly updates with pictures. I know breeders can be super busy and will put them on facebook, which works also. As long as I can see the babies :) Seeing pics when they are born, then nothing until 5 weeks would drive me batty. LOL.
Sounds like a lot of you have had good experiences with getting pictures :)

Yeah more puppy pics! So excited! We tried to take weekly pics of all the pups and separate them so that people would be able to see how each puppy was developing but no one knew which ones were going anywhere until 7 weeks or later. I have all the praise in the world for the breeders that can take pics daily or even every couple of days :)

It was as important for me to take pics as it was for my puppy people to have them as it also is a record of how these puppies I kept developed and what I might see the next time around.

Lol yes more puppy pics!! I plan on doing a pic overload when I get my girl :)
And from a breeder's point: How hard is it to do weekly pics? and would it be easier to add each owner on facebook and just upload them there for everyone to see?

As long as you have help I don't think weekly is being unreasonable. I did learn the hard way to show just group shots though... it is too hard on the puppy owners because they get attached to a certain one or want a particular one after seeing them in pics and as we don't make any final decisions until their temperament test is done at 7 weeks so the one they fall in love with may not be suitable for their home/life.

So say if someone had 15 puppies would you take photos of them growing up? Not single shots but just photos. I don't have FB but I think they post there either. Although they have an account. It would just seem courtesy.

Blackshadow that's understandable for reasons you mentioned.

Group shots should be somewhat easier to obtain as you can take shots of them doing just about anything as a group. And if I knew someone didn't have FB then I would email them the pics so they would still get a chance to see the puppies. Some people also maintain their own websites so are able to update the pics on there faster than others who have someone else do it.

I would be totally fine with seeing group shots, as long as the puppies have colored collars/yarn on to distinguish them from everyone else ( which I believe breeders do anyways) just so I know which one(s) Im looking at. If doing group shots, I would want to see the males together and the females together, not in every picture, but a few. Only because since I am getting a female, I wouldnt want to start really liking a male, then have to be let down.
Although around 6 weeks, I would want to see single shots and thats only because picking is coming up soon and I want to see them each alone.

Yeah after 6 to 7 weeks we would start to take separate pics but we also would take separates before then just not post them so that way people don't get attached. But once decisions are made then they can see all the pics from the start.
