I have a 14 week old female cane corso named stella (owned from 9 weeks) who seems to have "excited" accidents anytime she crosses the path of anyone other than myself. It could be strangers walking down the street, friends who she sees multiple times a week, or neighbors. Is this typical for a pup of this age? Ive only known this trait to be consistent with dachshunds and other small breeds. Also, I've noticed on walks that while initially fighting the leash on walks she will evacuate on the side walk or in the middle of the road while crossing the street. She has a spot in the back of my building that she is very good about following the "go potty" command. I walk her every 2-3 hours and she never has accidents in her crate even when I'm gone for 4-5 hours or over night. As stated earlier, even right after peeing outside, if she encounters a neighbor walking in my building as we are entering he tails begins wagging and she will dribble some more. I don't believe its a fear issue as I walk her down a very populated street and she encounters many people. As a side note the "excited pees" usually subside after we encounter more people on a particular walk, yet the problem consists on subsequent walks/encounters. Any help/guidance etc on this issue is greatly appreciated! Additionally i never scold her during these accidents, should i clap loudly and say "no" as if she were having a standard accident inside the house?
