2 yr old male DDB potty issues

My intact male DDB has been peeing and pooping in the house for the past few months. He will do this even after just going outside. Does anyone have any ideas why he is starting to do this now? We did get a female puppy 5 months ago, does this have anything to do with it?

He could be marking his territory. My older dog peed in the house right over an accident the new puppy had. He didn't like the response he got and thankfully only did it once.
