We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.
Hey, my 5 m/o EM - Butch is 82 pounds and seems really thin ( can see ribs ) and isn't eating a whole lot. He is a big boy but should I worry or not bother because it is better to keep them lean for when they are growing. He seems happy and healthy, just curious.
82 lbs at 5 months is a good weight. Should put him close to 100 lbs at 6 months. My boy was around the same weight and always looked skinny to me too.
As long as he's been dewormed, eating, drinking and playing, do not worry about his weight. He will fill out. Slow and easy is better for mastiffs. Do you live in an with high heat? Most mastiffs will temporarily reduce their food intake because they are too hot. Titan does this in the summer. Only be concerned if the pup stops eating for a week or so. He may also be bored with the food. So many variables involved when a dog stops eating.
Yeah he is happy and healthy just not eating a whole lot I suppose, he is still staying well up there in the weight department which proves he is doing well I suppose.
It seems to me that you have a very healthy pup . My shepherd mix does the same thing she only eats a very little bit of food but has a healthy weight .You could try changing his food to make it more desirable for him to eat .Thats what we did for our dog.
