7MO English Mastiff with tummy trouble?!

Homer, our 135lb, 7mo English Mastiff started today by throwing up. He's been vomiting on and off through out the day... minimal interest in food or water...tho he has urinated and pooped. He's refusing even his favorite treats.

Initially, we thought he ate something he shouldn't have... with two kids, gloves and socks and small undies do find their way into his possession sometimes...

Has any other EM owner experienced this? He's not acting as if he's in pain or discomfort...yet he did just complete a 2-week course of antibiotics for an upper respitory issue...

Suggestions? Friendly words of caution? Help/suggestions appreciated...

We have had this happen off and on again for a good while. It seems that they always find a way to ingest something that doesn't agree. I would give him loads of water and allow him time to settle. After a day, if he hasn't stopped vomiting then definately take him in to your vet. It is likely it will play out and stop. Also, open his mouth and make sure nothing is lodged in his throat. Hope he is better soon!

He's been admitted to the vet hospital. They're going to ultrasound him and give him fluids. He was refusing to eat or drink. Keep everyone posted.

Poor babe needed surgery. Large, fleece glove created a duodenal block. He's been at the hospital for 2 nights, and will hopefully be back home with us tomorrow. Word from the vet is that he's doing really well and eating and appearing to be comfortable.

Glad you found out what it was, hopefully he will make a speedy recovery. I bet you went home and picked up every stray toy, glove, sock and underwear!
