Usually Diesel is a little clown when we take our trips to the backyard but this afternoon the neighbors and their children were out in their backyard and making quite a bit of noise as children will do. Diesel immediately went to the adjoining fence and just stood and stared. He didn't bark or growl just took this very alert and serious stance. He was so serious and so concerned and refused to be distracted from his post until the neighbors finally went back in. Once they were back in he was his usual goofy fun loving self. They have been out before and he always seems a little more alert and aware when they are but this is he first time he got quite so serious about it. I also happen to be sick right now so perhaps that through him off a little too. Either way he was simply adorable and looked so much like a big (adult) dog in his alert stance that I had to take about a billion pictures.
I was so impressed that we did the paw measurement test to see how "big" he is getting... The highly scientific method of measuring against my own hands - yup he's a big boy
I was happy to see him back to his care free self after the neighbors left though
And then we got goofy together... Being home sick isn't so bad when you have a DDB mix puppy for company and "protection" ;-)
This is what happens when we are home sick lots of pics and over cuddling the furries.
