A question for all ddb owners?

I keep an eye on Titan's body language and his gaze. He will lock onto whatever it is that is causing him concern. His tail goes up and his body gets stiff. Once I see that, I get his attention to look at me and tell him it's ok, if it is, and let's go. 95% of the time it works. The other 5%, I have to drag him away from the issue.

Titan was not socialized much as a pup and it's been my job to socialize him. Funny, but he spent time with a male boxer as a pup and they got along great. His previous owner did not take him out for walks and while he was at work kept him in his crate for 10-12 hours. I convinced him to at least let him out of the crate for those 10-12 hours to move around. Finally, he wanted to take him to the shelter which Titan would have been PTS. I took him instead.

Titan and I have been together for a year in March. He's just now trusting me and actually shocks me when he listens to me. My BF said to stop being shocked because we've worked hard to get him to this point, we meaning me and Titan.

Really awesome and commendable story saving a giant breed!
