Hello all, my name is Bob & this is Ziva and this is our first post on your forum . She is an Alangu Mastiff imported from India
8 months old and about 118 lbs
I have been working with German shepherds for over 30 years and King shepherds for about 13 years.

This is our first Mastiff dog and she is by far the best dog we have ever owned!

Does anyone on this forum have or know of anybody having another Alangu Mastiff?
They are also referred to as an Indian Mastiff or a Bully Kutta.
Thanks and have a Great day! Bob.

I actually had to Google the breed :( I hate when I don't know a breed! lol to me they look like a Great Dane mixed with one of your larger Mastiff like EM or BM. They look lovely.

Welcome to the board, Bob!
I'm glad you said "Bully Kutta", because I was at a loss for the other names. Though I don't know much of anything on the Kutta either.

When you're posting, look above your text and you'll see some icons, one of them is to upload pictures from your computer.

She is part of the ancient breed of pure Alangu Mastiff and is an extremely rare dog. I have added some pictures of her in an album.

Did you get it from mr. atul tiwari. I was planning on getting one but importing was going to be a headache and the temperament wasn't suited to my lifestyle cause of my German shepherd

Her temperament is awesome! She plays great with our grandkids and is unbelievably gentle while playing with them, the kids can lay on her for hours at a time :) out in the fields she is super fast but when chasing another animal like a deer with 1 call of her name and come she stops turns around runs right back to me and sits next to me :) Hardly ever do I have to give a command more than once and she is only 8 month old. Like I said earlier she is the best dog that we have ever had! She was a gift to our family and was flown in from India

Pretty girl. Just a heads up. If that breed is like most of the others on here she is the right age to start getting stubborn about doing what she wants and not what you say.

Beautiful dog! Great to hear how happy you are with it

I want a bully kutta as well, but not sure where to get one from. (A friend of mine also wants one). I'm from California, but am willing to import one from either India or Pak side. Would prefer India as I think it'd be a bit easier, but I hear Pak has more pure bully kuttas.

How long have you had the dog?

I've been trying to find more information about these dogs, but have only found there are around 7 types of bully kuttas and that's it.
