Whether the Am Mastiff is recognized by CANKC or AKC or whatever, so long as the buyers know what they're getting. The breeders are probably not being entirely straightforward with an unsuspecting public.
On the other hand....Anyone who wants to spend $2000+ on a dog without doing the research...well, that's another thing entirely.
