Annoying house mate

He is definitely a jerk. He is one of those guys that Spends his life at the gym working out and doesn't care about anyone or anything other than himself. I wish my
Cousin would just get rid of him but we don't always get what we want.

It just annoys me that in his way of thinking all dogs are outside creatures (especially large dogs) and he thinks that we are irresponsible dog owners because we allow our dog to be inside. I believe that it is Angus's house too and I want to be with him as much as he wants to be with me so it makes more sense to move him inside than to move me outside.

I am very sure angus would sink into a doggy depression if I suddenly told him he now had to be outside for reasons other than walks, playing and toiletting. His whole world would be turned upside down

Hey any updates on the situation?? Cheers

I have a very bad feeling about this guy, please get him out of your house before something terrible happens!

This^. And change the locks!!
I am just pissed reading about this. If you won't do it for yourself, you owe it to your dog, to get this guy out of YOUR house, ASAP. Get the police involved if you have to.

You apparently don't like confrontation. I don't either, which is why I keep HUGE boundaries between myself and others, and why I like big dogs. Do not worry about his feelings, nor your cousin's. They are BOTH using you!

Just be direct and clear about it. They need to go now. No excuses, no delays. NOW. Their problems are NOT your problems. Have your cell in your hand during this brief notice, and dial 911 if you get ANY flack!

When the cops show up - and I expect it may come to that, do not negociate about timelines, commitments, promises, difficulties...whatever. These types are manipulative. Do you have a good friend (preferably male, maybe a brother, or your father) who can stand by you for this confrontation?

The best of luck to you.
It is going to be hard, just take a deep breath and do it.
(and change those locks immediately.)

Ditto.
I would not trust this guy anywhere near my house... does he have a key? Does your cousin let him stay there without you or her there?

He's Bad News.
He has to go, period.

If the cousin isn't OK with that... sorry, but I'd kick her out too. It's not worth the stress you're going through dealing and worrying about it, and it's not worth Angus' life - which is being put at risk both by being left outside alone, and by putting him in a place where he might potentially defend himself (and you) against this guy's idiot behavior.

What is your cousin's take on all this? Sounds like she needs some support in how to find a good, quality man - this one sure ain't it.

lol.... "if we don't discipline him he feels that He has to" - really? :)) That jerk just kicked YOUR dog out of YOUR house in the middle of the night without asking u? U'll be the next one kicked out, i suppose...if u dare to make any sound :))
Good that u have a well behaved puppy, though - the guy pretty much risked his gym shaped butt, we don't talk dachshunds here.

Son of a bitch! Son of a G D bitch! To Hell with both of them!!!!!! Tell your cousin that it was an ill conceived idea having her rent from you. There is no up side for your family, AND Angus IS FAMILY. Closer family than she'll ever be. Give her two week's notice, no sense sugar coating it, her head is in her underwear or his underwear. She's in love with a neanderthal and all a neanderthal needs is a cave, not a house with decent people. Trust me, she won't give him up and he won't give up his abusive ways. Truth is he'll probably rearrange your cousin's molecules in short order, but there is no help for the sexually blinded. She'll get her teeth bashed in by the BULLY BOY, no word of a lie. And even then she'll choose HIM.

KICK THEM BOTH TO THE CURB. Low-Life, Scum-Sucking Bottom Dwellers. Evil, Demonized, Shit-For-Brains, Dog and Woman Hating Monster. You will learn to your horror just how right I am. She's brought hell incarnate to your house. You can't save your cousin, Save Yourselves...Save Angus.

I'll give you a piece of great advice that my father gave me: Never Back Down From A Bully, it only encourages them. Toe-to-toe, face him down, and kick his enabler out with him. Then Change The Locks and Sleep With One Eye Open. He's A Psychopath.

Damn, Idiots Make Me Lose My Sweet Canadian Nature.

I'm curious how he treats your cousin. You might see if she will kick him to the curb too, not just you! This guy has trouble written all over him.

15 years of court reporting...always the same story...they'd get to court and the woman would try to pull the charges...failing that, she'd refuse to testify or she'd change her story to the point of not proving the charges or fail to show and get it laid over time and time again until it was withdrawn by the crown. Two weeks later they'd all be back...Orders of Protection...breached by both. it would go on until the woman was in the hospital the guy was in jail...the kids (always seemed to be kids) were in foster care, the family dog or cat abused or dead. Same old, same old. And that was just criminal court, family court was worse (I used to get sick on family court days or I'd try to switch with another reporter.)

I came away with one strong message: If they bully, hit, threaten, steal your money, disrespect your family or keep you from family or friends, RUN! Don't walk, RUN.

I may be a hard headed bitch, but I've seen his act before, problem is you've only seen his opening act. It won't end up like a fairy tale, more like Crime Scene Investigation. Heaven Help Them All!

okay so here is what has happened since i last posted.

i told my cousin her boyfriend was not welcome inside my house and i don't appreciate his attitude or the way he treats my dog. i also told her that IF she was going to stay with this guy and allow him inside my house than unfortunately she would also have to leave. she has a key, he does not. she has not broken up with the guy but he hasn't visited in over a week now and looks like he is staying away but if i catch him here then she will be leaving. (i also have 3 nanny cams set up around the house that she doesn't know about just to make sure he is not coming over while i am at work)

she is 18 years old and got kicked out of home 5 months ago when her mum cheated on her dad and everyone went different ways but no one had room for her so i don't feel right just kicking her out on the street so she has this chance to do the right thing but if she blows it she knows that she is out of chances

Wow you did the perfect response all round !! So happy to read your response and glad u got back . And those cams are great idea . Are they 1s you can check on your I phone when your away from the house ? Or you check on PC at home ? Bm thinking of getting some myself great idea. I'm sure Angus will be happier now not bn kicked out of his own home by some jerk! I don't know the guy and yet I can't stand him with his attitude . You did the perfect thing all round firm but fair to your cousin putting your pack first and covering your ass with the cameras .

They are the ones you check on the PC at home via USB. I would have liked the phone ones but didn't think about it at the time.

that is one unlucky young woman - broken family and abusive boyfriend. Still, I wouldn't trust her unless they break up (for real). She may be under his influence and she may as well consider that she can't be with the love of her life (!!) because of you or worse, because of your poor puppy -it's so easy to hurt a helpless puppy :( And it's so much easier to prevent than manage any damage they both can do.
