Any other RAW feeders?

I've been doing raw diet with Titan for about 4 days. The general rule of thumb: 80% of meat, 10% meaty bones, and 10% organ meats of 2% of the dog's weight for food. Titan weighs 110 so he gets 2 lbs of food a day (1 lb of food twice a day). Titan loves chicken legs. He's not to keen for chicken livers and prefers beef livers. He throw up the first couple of days but he's been doing fine since that time. I added his kibble (Blue Buffalo) until he gets used to the full head on raw diet. I will stop the kibble in a week and go 100% raw.

I decided to use raw diet because Titan has suffered from skin allergies since birth. I hope the raw diet will help with the skin allergies.

Crossing fingers and toes :p

I feel for you musicdeb, that is why we went raw. My guy is doing a little better but for us it was not the end all, cure all. We have been raw for about a year now. We are also dealing with yeast due to all the antibiotics I allowed the vet to pump into him. We do have a couple of things in common. Texas(Houston) and Blue Buffalo, although he was already having skin problems before we switched to BB. I have heard a lot of really good results for skin problems when the animals is switched to raw, so good luck.

General rule of thumb for raw diet is 80% meat, 10% meaty bone, and 10% organ meats at each meal. The dog should eat 2% of his weight. If overweight, his projected weight goal. My DDB is 110lbs so he eats about 2.2-2.5 lbs of food each day. It's best to go full head on raw and not mix raw with kibble. Generally, the kibble will confuse the dog's system and cause vomiting and diarrhea. As you can see, I'm a strong believe in raw diet. Kibble on the market, no matter how much pay for it, is crap for your dog. I used to feed by DDB Blue Buffalo. He drinks less water and poops every couple of days. His poop is the size of cat poop. Their bodies use all of the nutrients from the raw meat so there is no waste.
