I too bought my Lexi from Roman Cane Corso back in March 2013. I also dealt with his wife Gensen, who was most helpful. We talked on the phone and she was very prompt in answering my emails. Hubby & I went to their home and met all of their dogs. We put a deposit down on the pick of the first female of the litter. Since escrow on our home didn't go through, we had to push getting a puppy back to a later date. Gensen was great, she applied my deposit to another litter (again first pick)... when we went to pick up our 8 week old girl, Gensen was great in explaining everything we needed. Marty came in but wasn't very talkative, which was fine b/c we hadn't been dealing with him anyway.
Meanwhile 6 mos. later, Lexi is a wonderful dog. We have a very energetic special needs 8 year old, and Lexi is very gentle with him. Our daughter chases Lexi, screams in her face and Lexi is very patient with her. We recently had family over w 1 year old twins and another 1 year old baby. Lexi was great with them... it was almost as if she knew she couldn't play with the little ones the way she did with the adults. They loved sleeping in her bed next to Lexi and she would just lick them. We absolutely love Lexi's temperment. She is easily trained (we got her out of the nipping phase quickly and when we put our hands in her food, she backs up and sits until we clap for her to eat).
She's now starting to bark at everything that moves, so we are dealing with that. But all in all we are very happy with our purchase from Roman Cane Corso.
