Bathing an EM

Hello everyone, just wondering how you bathe your giant breed dogs, other than bringing them to the groomers. My EM doesn't really need to be washed too often, infact, last time was in October. I'd like to have him washed again because he plays alot with my other dog and there's saliva all over them and it starts to smell after a while. I can probably take him out side and hose him down in the summer when it's warmer, but I'd like to put him in our walk in shower we just had done in the basement. Are there any special attachements for showering dogs ?
thanks in advance

my shower head is detachable with a very long cord. yogi is the best; he just jumps up into the bath tub and then sits there while i bathe him, even turns around on command when i need to get his other side. he has no issues with water, shampoo or bath time at all, probably just likes all the attention but its not like he doesnt get enough of that, he is spoiled and knows it. what a life!!!

I have a long shower head that attaches to the bath faucet and also use a pitcher. Both the twins love the bath once they are in, but Nike is better at just jumping in the tub. Their favorite part is shaking after they get toweled off :) Since they are primarily inside, I bath them about 1-2 months depending on how much they are playing and making mud. Sometimes they just get a paw spray down.

i bring my 200lb English Mastiff to the car wash, do not actually squeeze the pressure though because it's too high and he won't like it..

We just put our Bullmastiff in the tub, but an EM is significantly larger. I like the idea of using the car wash ... I know it works great for cows!

@Kandie: You can use the do-it-yourself side, so you end up just using it for the concrete floor, great drainage, and hose assembly. Wouldn't recommend the automatic side.

Our EMs are split, Moose jumps right in the tub and does really well. Nike, I have to coax into the tub, but once in she is great. They both sit and love getting scrubbed. I do not have a hose, but use a large pitcher. They love the shampooing. They also love to share in the process and shower the bathroom. :). Once they are finished, they prance around the house. I am going to have to try the car wash, it sounds fun.

Here we have car washes on one side and dog washes on the other. Seriously, is great.
They are all over the city, is a great and easy way to clean the dogs and keep the bathroom intact ;)

No joke at all.. He's too big to get in up over the tub and he gets nervous when i've tried, so i started bringing him to the car wash he loves it.. We bring his shampoo and use the rinse setting... It's a 3 in one deal..he gets to go for a ride, bathed, and air dries on the way home :) in minnesota, there are actually car washes that have a dog wash area in them..(for hunting dogs i assume)
