I am trying with all of my Heart and Soul to save this Wonderful boy. Bert's ID # A 4399086.. He is a 4 yr old male that has been at the Castaic Shelter since 2/23. Isn't there someone or a rescue that can save him? Bert is so worthy of being rescued. He knows sit, down, heel, he is doing amazingly will on the leash. Bert has a sad story, the original call came in as "there's a huge dog with a too small of a kennel". Before the Officer could get there the owners surrendered him to the shelter. After one look at his scraped up back with accompanying lair loss tells the story of the big guy trying to squeeze into a small kennel to get out of the elements. He was also kept alone in a constructin yard for 4 long years. Bert does need continued training, he was introduced to a female bulldog, both were on leash and all we say was an excited boy who wanted to play with her. He is not food aggressive and likes his hugs. Bert is 110 lbs of cuteness and Love.. Please contact the Castaic Shelter (661)702-7098 or me for more information.. He Really Does Not Have Much Time Left!!

ohhh so sad, people make me sooo angry. I live too far away and don't have enough experience with this breed..yet. But I do hope someone will step up, even if its just to foster him. I'll keep him in my prayers.

I'll share a link to this with the NW rescue groups, they come get dogs from CA shelters all the time.
