I live in California where we have a large population of pig. I have several friends with working ranches and they want the destructive pigs out. We hunt with an array of dogs. Everything from boarder collies to pits to labs to black mouth curs. It's a good excuse to see my buddies and fill the freezer with chops at the same time.

No doubt. There are sooo many hogs there runing acress streets and causing car accidents. As neighborhoods grow they have no where to go so we see then in mall parking lots, walking trails. Crazy..I just hunt for fun..I don't get payed. A lot of the people hang with get payed for hog control and business is good

I've heard there is a large population of pigs in Texas too. In fact, in Texas, it's big business to hunt the hogs and kill them because the hogs are causing a lot of destruction on the farmlands. The program I watched about this, said the hogs are very smart in eluding the hunters. I found the program quite interesting.

There are smart ones and some not so smart..there's more of a challenge the more you hunt. Their adaptation to dogs is amazing. When we first dog a place a lot of the time the hogs never even see a dog much less have one hang off his ear....after awhile they learn how to hide and sacrifice. Well be chasing a boar and dogs are right on his heels and he will actually run through his own herd to shake the dogs. Dogs just want pig so they well stop chasing and go after all the lil ones..even seen them climb and go over a chain link fence.
