Claymore is finally home! 9weeks Old

We picked up Claymore tonight from the transport service the breeder used. He was amazing. The whole ride back he just quietly curled up on my lap and hung out. He was in excellent condition as well with an incredibly soft coat and nice weight on him. Poor guy smelled a bit from the ride.

So after a potty break outside when we got home.. into the shower he went and boy was he a champ. He let me shampoo him up and rinse him off without any fuss.

Here are some pictures with his bed in the office and his favorite Wyvern stuffed animal at the moment.

We adore this little guy. He is currently passed out on his stuffed animal in between my legs as I type this :)

Thanks for all the kind words. He is a pleasure. Goes potty quickly everytime I take him out and loves to bounce around in the soft grass.

He ate his cup of Orijen this morning for breakfast like a champ. I am glad he liked the food. He is a big cuddle bug.

Here are some from this morning:

With his "busy bee" had to get it since itbl reminded me of the movie... "Best in Show" which I love.

He is the Dandelion Destroyer....for some reason the little yellow flowers offend him.

Look at that face!! :)

How are his poops on the Orijen (what recipe)? That's a really rich (top quality) kibble, but it is awesome if your little guy's stomach can handle it!!

He actually has water poos the night and first morning after we got him. Poor guy was stressed out. I immediately switched to Orijen the first morning after fasting him the night before. <I personally prefer a fast then switch when going fron grain inclusive to grain free> His next stools later that night were begining to firm up. The following morning they were perfect and anywhere between slightly soft to firm depending on how long hes held it between. He had a little flatulence yesterday but that has passed and it was quite an easy switch. He was previously on diamond naturals, which is what my breeder fed.

I am feeding Orijen Large Breed Puppy formula. I offer 2 1/2 cups in 3 feedings, but he has the attention span of a gnat and is a slow eater in a grazing fashion. The first day he ate all of his food, yesterday only 2cups. I offer it as long as he has food in his bowl but do no give him more than the recommended amount. I have always loved Orijen and their receny changes to the large breed puppu formula have me over the moon. A company who actually understands skeletal development in large and giant breeds is hard to come by. They dropped the % of calcium and phosphorus but the quality and kcalories did not suffer.

I just woke him up from his nap while I finished getting ready for the day.

Figuring out the back deck. ..
