Collars for a thick necked English Mastiff

My English Mastiff is about to turn 10 months old and his adjustable collar is at the largest point . The collar is and extra large so do they make xx large ? The pet stores around here only have x large . I do keep his collar loose incase it gets hooked on something he can get loose . Where can I get a larger collar ?

I did think of that . I thought of going to the "children's " section of the store and getting a belt . I thought it was a dumb idea when I first thought of it , but now someone else thought of it so maybe it is not a bad idea .

Actually I do think its a good idea, and I bet you can get some pretty cool kids belts out there that would make fab collars. Then all you need is D ring or an O ring for the tags and you are set.

Go onto Etsy.com and type in mastiff collar, or great dane collar or XXL collar and you will find something. Sometimes if you don't see the size on their page, they will make it longer for $5 more (depending on the fabric). I went with a seller on there who had a mastiff in a picture. I figured they would understand and they put in extra holes so she could grow into it.
Fun tip: I have thick thighs and anytime in the store I need to check and see if a collar would fit my dog, I measure it on my thigh. And I have used a fancy old belt I had for a collar for her too!

Caesar Milan makes xxxl ones that go to 45 inches, while I don't like him, I do like his collars and leashes! Cruiser wears a red one that I bought in our PX for about $15. Once he gets to age 2, I'll invest in some nice handmade leather collars, his muzzle is starting to come in and he will gain inches in his neck for the next year or so.

I have used Cozy Critters The Cozy Critter - Custom Dog Collars.
They do custom sizes, but we buy the Giant size which goes up to 36" (Our mastiff has a 32" neck)
The have many styles, and can customize them.
