crate training weirdness

So i managed to partially crate train the new pup quickly. What i mean by partially is i put Monty in his crate when i leave for work and hes fine. No whining barking, anything. But if i have him in the crate and im in the house but out of his sight he goes bonkers...screaming his head off. Eventually he calms down, maybe 30 mins later. I make sure i wait it out until he stops...if possible. When i reappear, boom, hes quiet. I walk away, boom like a bomb exploding, hes back to screaming. Ive never seen this before. The toy is in the crate. There's always a treat when he goes in. But for some reason if i walk.away and I am in the house. Its 1000 decibels of screaming. Any ideas?

just turn your ears off. thats just my own personal way of deeling with hard headed pups. all of mine eventually get the idea that all the carrying on gets them nowhere. also pups are not allowed to come out til they sit as i open the door. if they get up or get roudy then crate door closes until they get quiet.
