Hey all, I'm trying to a find a good solid source for Cane Coros history. There seem to be a variety of different stories out there. I am also curious about historical photos? Thanks for any help!

Il Cane Corso is probably the best book, but is not cheap and you have to order it from Europe... Although I do not know if Mike E is still breeding his site, http://www.godivacanecorso.com/index2.html has a ton of info. He was the president of the parent breed club for a long time and went on multiple trips to Italy, spoken to many of the original people in the development of what the breed is and has done an incredible amount of research. I believe at one point was going to write a book, not sure if that is still in the go or not but this page is a great read. The best way to learn and understand the history of the breed is by connecting and speaking with the old timers of it. Is not the easiest to do but.... There will always be differences in stories, as there is no true written history beyond the past 50 years. Some like the romantic version and some prefer the more realistic.
