Thats a good sized Female.

My male weighed about that. I think generally the weight of the Dogue correlates with the age in months( give or take 10lbs), at least with my dogue it did.

For example. At 4 months 40lbs, 5 months 50lbs, 6 months 60lbs , 7 months 70lbs ect.

My male is now 8 months and has slowed down a bit and is 99lbs (8 1/2 months)

His growth pattern was give or take 4 months 50lbs, 5 months 65lbs, 6months 75lbs, 7months 85lbs, 8months 93lbs. and now is slowing down a bit. He is fairly short. Last month was still only 22in, this months almost 23in.

I hope this helps!

LOL your pup looks just like my guy Apollo! If I did not know any better I would think they are the same dog from this pic! Apollo is darker but the face and build looks the same.

NYDDB- It seems like Apollo is slowing down a bit in growth.

I weighed him today and he was actually 1lb less then 3 days ago, he is 98lbs 8 months 3 weeks. I was able to help answer questions for some one with a pup under 8 months but I have no experience beyond that.

From your experience what do you think I can expect over the next 4-6 months? Should he hit 115 by 12months ? or does it very to much from Dog to Dog?

My previous DDB, Dudley was 110 lbs at 6.5 months and at 2.5 years was 172 lbs and was under weight as his ribs showed too much. This was 20 years ago and the food allergy thing was not as prevalent nor was really good food. I had moved him to a wheat free diet and it helped but he ate so much it was amazing. Maybe if I had had a better food he would have filled out at that weight but all in all he was a happy and healthy boy.

Dante was weighed at 11 weeks and was just at 23 lbs. Still not eating as well as I would like but getting better. He is not a morning dog for sure. Breakfast is not really a thought for him but gets there at some point while I am making coffee.

It definitely varies from dog to dog- and Mateo went through similar spurts and stalls. At 12 months I think he was around 120-ish. Then, his growth slowed and became more steady.

Now, he's 143 at almost 3 years old (tomorrow is his b-day). He's hung out at this weight for awhile and I hope he settles here. It's a good weight- not too light, not too heavy.:)

Apollo sounds like he's going to be a good sized Dogue, for sure!

HAPPY B-DAY to MATEO!

Yes 143 lbs is a great size! Do you know how tall Mateo is at the withers ?

Apollo just weighed in today at 99.6lbs but he is still so short, maybe 22 3/4in.

I was at the dog park a couple days ago and ran into a 12 month old male, he looked great! I love these dogs, I get pretty excited when/if I see another one, which does not happen often.

Thanks! So far he's had a pretty happy birthday. :)

Mateo is 26" at the withers.

I also get excited when I see another DDB- so rare around here, too.

Ju
t had Dante at
h
vet for a weigh In today and he was 27.84 lbs up just over 5 lbs from 7 days ago. We have noticed a dramatic increase In his food intake this week and he Is eating better and his stool firmed up as well. I am hoping he will start filling out a bit more as he seems thin on the back end.

You definitely do not have a small female, just look at those paws! At 16 weeks our youngest female weighed in at 45 lbs and she is a large female. But at this age it's difficult to say for sure how big she is going to be full grown. Sometimes the "runt" of the litter grows up to be the biggest. You are going to have a blast watching her grow. And just remember, you don't want too much extra weight on them at this age-much more stress on their bones and joints.
