Double ended Leahes.

*not a leash that you can attach two dogs to, but a leash that has two snap ends that you can connect it to a collar and a prong collar or a collar and a harness or even just to two collars/

Anyone on here have any experiences with them or a company that sells them. I am looking to buy one eventually.

Leerburg.com has the leashes you are describing. Search their leashes, it's called a prong leash. I have one those and it works well and I recently had the thought of using an adjustable coupler as the same idea, but really don't know how well that will work out

Do you essentially want the equivalent of two seperate leashes attached to the two collars? Or do you just want a safety backup so that the leash is attached both collars?

Here's a double ended lead: Ella's Lead - Lily's Lead

Here's a leash designed to snap to two collars (or collar and harness) for backup: Ella's Lead - Sam's Backup Lead

And two couplers: Ella's Lead - Liberty's Attachment and Ella's Lead - Oscar's Attachment

(note: I've never personally ordered from Ella's Lead, but I know several folks who have and they quite like their stuff)

I can make that, or you just buy a regular leash and a carabiner, clip the carabiner to the loop and you have what you want. Currently I have made a few leashes with a metal ring added to the loop, and a carabiner for the clasp.

And this one with no ring.

Not to hijack your thread, but on a kind of related question, does anyone know if they make leashed with two looped handles for the human end?

I walk Lincoln with a six foot leash with a loop at the end, however when we're passing other dogs or people or if there's another reason I need to keep him close to me, I either grab about halfway down on the leash with my other hand or start wrapping the end of the leash around my right hand many times to in essense, shorten the leash. Niether of these are very effective. If I could find a six foot leash that had another looped handle at around the 2-4 foot mark, that would be perfect. Not sure what that would even be called to look it up.

Thanks.

I kinda made my own by cliping a traffic lead to the ring of Apollo's 4ft lead, and then running the main lead through the loop of the traffic lead so that its right there to grab when I need it.

I have had one for 6 or 8 years made by marine dog. It works amazing. One of my favorite features is you can attach it around your waist that easy I can walk Gus and pick up a pizza on the way back.
They have videos on the various ways you can use it.

Hardware is heavy brass with marine grade rope. I have had lots of people ask where I got it.
