EM growth question

I took Lillie to her obedience class the other day and there was a year old male fawn Mastiff there. They were the same height but he was so much bulkier than her. She will be 1yr in 2 weeks. My question is do males fill out faster than females or does their parents/lines determine that. She looked really thin compared to him.

There is quite a significant difference in bulkiness in mastiffs in the UK, from what I have seen.

There are many things that affect the growth, one of which is heredity. Male EM are most times significantly larger then females, avg female weight 160-180, males are 200-230lbs. There is also differences in how the puppies are feed. There are many factors in growth I would not worry if your girl is healthy. She will get to where she is suppose to be eventually. Female mastiffs will often grow for 2-2.5 years of age.
