It is a double edged sword, there are many "working" breeders that don't resemble Cane Corso either, but hey they work regardless of what they look like. There needs to be a balance and until you can get people to work with that balance then you will always have extremes on both sides.
x2. In just a few generations a breed can be truly ruined. Time has ruined dog's of all breeds practically. Thanks to all of the "breeders" out there, only focusing on all of these idiotic conformation standards. This is what happens when people take a functional, performance bred dog and decide to breed it to fit whatever look pet owners want. But that's just my opinion, and I am NOT a fan of smushed looking faces.
