Finding their own “toys”

Diesel thinks he found the best new toy. Don’t worry I took it away as soon as I snapped a couple pics. But he was so beyond excited for a few minutes

Our Chev loves to make wood chips on the back deck ---chewing up a stick he retrieves from the woodpile. You Diesel is really having fun for sure.

He loved it so much. If it weren't for worry over splinters I would've let him play with it all he wants. Of course I was also a little worried he might take my knees out running around with that thing. lol

Sticks are the BEST!

Love those Action Photos!! :)

I am now more aware of the dangers sticks can pose, too... (never would have thought they were a problem a few years ago)
My sister's dog (a fetch-a-holic border collie/heeler mix) went to grab a stick, and ended up shoving it into the back of her throat. Luckily her pain-response is to RUN crying to Mommy and flop at her feet... where she was promptly carried to the nearest vet for help. She's fine, and back to fetching things again, mostly her chuck-it ball these days, though.
