Finn Gets Winners Dog!

    So proud of him, won Winners Dog at his second dog show for 2 points. Yay Finn! Not as impressive, but he also has his AKC Star Puppy, and we are working on the CGC.

    Finn is 8 months now, was probably 7 months old in the picture.

    Thank you everyone! He is pretty handsome, but his personality is the best. Very goofy and friendly, I think he's more likely to win a congeniality award than winner's dog at a big show. He only got 4th place in the 6-9month old dogs at the Great Dane Speciality in CA this last weekend. But we weren't looking for a show dog when we got him, and we love him just the way he is!

    Nice. I've never really like the fawn Great Dane but he is gorgeous.

    Sometimes that goofy silly personality is the thing that will win the judges over. Not only do dogs have to closely match the conformation criterion, they have to "shine" in the ring. Keep going; it's fun to watch & participate! And btw, there's always that one or two poo-poos who get snarky about dogs other than their own. Ignore them, make friends with the happy folks.
