  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

I'm a proud Mom to Homer, our gorgeous 13 week old (and 49 lb!) English Mastiff. He's such a joy. Though we're doing our best to work on that puppy nipping. I hope to work with Homer as a therapy dog, as his outgoing, confident personality brings joy to everyone he meets. If there are any mastiff families out there that have experience with this, I'd greatly appreciate any feedback and/or support!

Thank you!

Welcome and yes you must post pics. If you do get to the therapy stage let me tell you that you will love it. I do therapy with my other dog an Akita and we both adore the work, it is very rewarding.

Welcome! You'll find loads of info here for new owners that can be pretty helpful. Mastiffs make great therapy dogs if trained and socialized well! My last OEM was a good canine, we made regular visits to the VA hospital and it was pretty wonderful! The best advice I can give you is to train and teach as much as possible before your pup hits the 8 month age mark. Of course, keep it up after, but at 8 months they get in a very stubborn phase that lasts a few months. My Buddy loved the visits to the VA and looked forward to each visit. We would love to see pics of Homer!

Glad to see another giant getting ready for therapy work. We have 4 bullmastiffs; 2 are regitered therapy dogs, & we're hoping to get our rescue into it, too. Please post pics. LOTS of pics.

Cool! Appears to have worked. So here's Homer, at 7 weeks, the week before we brought him home, at 11 weeks and at 13 weeks. I swear sometimes, he's really just a person in a dog suit. ;)
