I took my 11 month old Neo to her 4th dog show his weekend, we went to Muncie, In. There were 6 other neos there Sat. and 8 Sun.
She took reserve, (second place) Sat, and won best puppy, and Sunday she also took reserve.
I am so happy, alot of neo breeders don't even start showing there dogs until they are atleast 2 years odd because they don't start
getting mature until then. We were competing against some pretty good bitches so all in all we did GOOD!!
She is the 3rd neo in the line the tawny colored one is the one that got first.

Congrats to you both! Reserve is something to brag about when the dog hasn't even reached full maturity. Very good!

I find with our breed which is ddbs that many don't show them either till they are at least 17 months old. We put our pup in her first show at 10 months old . We see it as experiance for us all even though she isn't full grown.
I will brag a bit as well and share that our girl Lucy took reserve 2 days in a row at our last show at 13 months old. Woo hoo! The downside is she hasn't beat a champion bitch yet. I see it as practice, focus and more work and her time will hopefully come.

Congrats that is awesome! They have fun matches in our area that are like mock shows that allow us to practice and then when there are shows then usually we hit the shows. We love the CFC shows up here as you get a written critique that tells you what the judges see in your dog, but they are only twice a year so by the time we are able to get to one the dogs are usually 9 months or older.

Congrats! That is awesome for her age.
Is rare they will put a puppy up over an adult. :)
We have our first CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) show with Cribs this fall. Hopefully will have a decent Corso turnout, unfortunately not many people are showing CKC, they are stuck on the rare breed shows. Which I understood before we could show CKC /AKC but now we need to get the CC in the big game. Actually as of June 1st this year I think the DDB will be shown in working group for the CKC as well :)
