Hazards of buying off the internet

Rhaegar was outgrowing his old buffalo horn a little, and it was starting to splinter, so I wanted to buy him a size up. Turns out I ordered more than just one size up......whoops. I don't think he'll be outgrowing this one any time soon.

Off of Amazon, Buba brand I think? He has many of those problems.....I just couldn't believe how massive that thing was when I pulled it out of the box!!! And Rhaegar said, "yes please." Lol.

Poor Rhaegar - another toy he'll have to make do with until the next Bark Box! He needs to get a job as a toy tester!

I need to look into this. The past large horns I bought were so not sturdy and even my 14 yr old was able to break it into small shards. The sharp pieces scared the shit out of me. They were like shards of glass.

It may not be a good option for your guys then. The end in the pictures is nice and thick, but the other end has one rim that is pretty thin, and probably won't hold up that well. I've heard people say that the horns are supposed to "flake" as the dog chews, but it looked more like splintering to me.....Rhaegar really isn't an aggressive chewer, and he has had that little one since I brought him home in July, so I don't expect any problems with him. Atlas isn't interested in them, and Mazey has really fragile enamel (three root canals, one extraction, and one tooth capping later, she is NOT allowed to have any hard chews), so I expect the bigger horn will last Rhaegar forever.

I can go ahead and tell you what his his reaction would be to every single toy he would "test." He would love them all, lol.
