I love crates for several reasons, but most of all because they are the individual dog's own "home" and happy place.

To make the crate a better place to be, always feed your dog in her crate. Give her treats in her crate. Let her understand that her crate is hers and it is a safe place for her to sleep and retreat to when she needs a break.

Crates are super-useful when traveling because they allow your dog to retain that since of "home" and allow for easier transitions.

Your dog is still a pup and is still going to test her boundaries. Be firm with the sleeping in the crate and in the meantime make it a comfy and nice place. She'll get used to it. :)

ya. She doesn't really have a bed in there yet. Cant afford the one I want yet. I should this pay or the one after. There is one I wanna get her like 80 bucks. But instead of being a giant pillow like most dog beds are...its a miniature dog mattress. like with springs and all in it. Anyone here have a bed like this?

Ive heard of doggie mattresses but they werent $80 they were around $300-$400. Make sure the bed is big enough for her to grow into.

You can also purchase used baby crib mattresses for like $15 on craigslist... although it might not fit in her crate, it is a cheaper resort.
