The harl's are beautiful. I like Merle, too but my little white guy is just so special and I think he was meant for us. I am sure with everything you are going through with Kryten, it would be a bad time for a new addition but I understand the drive to get one.

I've already decided that my next big dog will be a female harl Dane. Even if I had the space it would be a bad time to add a new puppy right now. Despite how much I want one.

Dad is a beautiful boy. Love his head. I am extremely picky about Danes I like. Too many of them around here have a thin, greyhound head and build. He looks nice and thick with a nice square head.

Thank you! Yep, I prefer the boys. with all of the dogs I have owned in my life, I have only ever owned one female and I plan to keep it that way.

He is a really pretty boy, Mom has got some incredible markings on her face. I love his cropped look and seriously considering cropping the little one but I just can't imagine getting Ruger to leave the tape/foam alone for 3 months or more so I think he will be keeping his ears. I do much prefer the cropped look.

That is one of the things I noticed first...I love his "block" head. Yeah, I am not a fan of the greyhound look, either. Daddy impressive. Looking at how thick the little one is already and so damn big...I have a feeling he is going to be much like him. Daddy is young and still growing, too.

I would really like to crop them because I like that look better but I will be leaving him natural because thee is no way I will be able to get Ruger to leave his ears alone for 3 months or more unless I am always getting on to him and by the time his ears healed, Ruger would hate him because he was always getting yelled at over him. It sucks because I really want to get his ears crop and think he would look SO good.

Congratulations! I've never had a dane, but lived next door to one for years and he was amazing! At the time, I had a newf/hybrid wolf mix(Cody) and Gabriel was his best friend- he'd come over and they play in the back yard and hang out together. They were so funny together! Gabriel had the best temperment and personality! When yours gets big he and Ruger are going to make quite an impressive pair! Will look forward to all the pics!
