No, not here, but I have heard of of Ivamec being used on dogs of all sizes. My grandfather is an old school A&M vet (no longer practicing, 88 years old) and he says it fine...but that's pretty much what he says about everything. I have heard that it is used by some people and works fine. Its primarily used on cattle.

Cattle and horses. We always gave our horses Ivermec for worms and it seemed to work great. I haven't ever tried it on dogs but it IS powerful stuff.

I use it .10cc per 10 lbs one dose a month. My aunt has A LOT of dog, basically a no kill shelter and she has used it for years. I know it shouldn't be used on Collies and maybe not on some other herders but I'm not positive on that.

Some people dilute it with propylene glycol not sure on the ratio

You want the 1% injectable kind but give it orally

Ivermectin is the ingredient in Heartgard (as well as pyrantel). The problem is, Heartgard uses teeny tiny doses, one dose of 51-100 pounds is 272 MICROgrams and Ivermectin in sold for cattle in 1% solution (or 10 MILLIgrams per mL) that's a huge difference! You have to be very careful with home dosing as it is very difficult to measure out micrograms and you would have to dilute is out like Ralo said. I say play it safe, use already made preventions. The least most effective dose is usually the safest.

you can use Ivermectin for dogs but it needs to be scaled down with something else (i think they use glycerin) , you need to talk to the vet to get the right mixture, i thought about doing it but it was too much of a pain in the ass since my dogs vary in size, but it is cheaper to do it that way.

We used it on all of our dogs just last week, including our English Mastiff. We got it from our vet and the dosage was .10 cc per 10 lbs. We had no problems at all.

Consult doctor before going for any treatment. Dont take anything yourself. It is the concern of health so better to consult doctor.
