I was just given this site to help raise funds for my puppy's hip dysplasia surgery. Looks to be a very successful fund raising aid. Good luck. http://fundapetmiracle.com/ EDIT: I'm not sure if they help outside the USA, I didn't see you are in the UK.

Check with local rescues, local pet shelters or do a google search for assistance with canine surgeries/treatments. There a lot of charities in the U.S. that help with treating animals either for surgery or treatments.

There are a few UK people on the forum. Hope they reply to your post. Maybe make a new post addressed to the UK people?

I'm so sorry to hear about the diagnosis.

Please keep us posted.

No luck with any welfare charities or rescues centers. The UK is hopeless, no one can even offer any advice at these places. I will battle on and fight for my puppy, has anyone ever come across wobblers syndrome? thanks for your words x

There have been a couple of people with pups with wobblers. Do a search for wobbler's on the forum because I can't remember their names. It's been a while since they posted to the forum.

If you can't find the post, re-post the info in the health and nutrition section with the subject title, wobblers syndrome.

I'm sure others will reply to your post.

contact care credit and see how much they will hook you up with. When Dozer got sick they gave me a $2000.00 credit line and the interest was really low.

I believe there has been good success using homeopathy for wobblers. It may be a cheaper than a regular vet.

You may also like to consider posting a plea on face book, contact your local radio station or news paper and see if they will help with a fund raising drive. Also my local ring craft club does charity fun day dog shows, maybe contact your local club and see if they would do one for you? Have you thought about 'selling your services' to friends and family? Offer to do jobs for them in return for a donation? Cut the grass? Clean their house? Do you go to a place of worship? Maybe they can help. Do a sponsored run or cycle or weight loss (not that I know if you need to lose weight or not). Are you good at art or something like that? You could sell pet portraits or do a bake sale? I am really suprised that the rescue centre you got him from wont help you.

Great tips, MM! I agree, I can't believe rescue center will not assist her. To be honest, UK doesn't sound too pet friendly like the U.S. :(

Dont get me started on the UK and what they will and will not do! They will tax the air you breathe but help you when you need it?? FORGET IT!!

Kelly, I haven't paid a lot of attention to the Wobblers discussions. So, I'm not sure if they are talking about a cure or just able to keep it in control. I know homeopathy saved Cane's life(not wobblers, auto immune). He is not cured but 85% better and is living a normal dogs life. True homeopathy seems to work great on chronic conditions.

It really sucks that the rescue you got her from doesnt want to offer you any help(not much of a rescue in my opinion),I just thank my lucky stars that I have a vet that will take payments if I have an emergency.

I wish you all the luck in the world,

Here in the U.K u just hit brick wall after brick wall, not just with pets, it's a very hopeless place to be sometimes:(. Ive taken on board everyones help and will look into all the options given to us. What about. Calling your local news station and ask them to run your story? That should help bring in some funds. Or is there a veterinary school by you?
