Hi, I've had my new puppy Lexi for nearly two weeks and she's developed some serious separation anxiety when left alone. I'm not quite sure how to do this other than crate training as I'm afraid she'll become destructive as she gets bigger. What's the best technique for crate training an already anxious baby? You can visit Lexi's blog http://www.lexithebullmastiff.blogspot.co.uk here. Also, her house-training is going great one day, then accidents galore the next. What are the best methods for working with this? Thanks in advance to all who reply :)

Welcome aboard to you and Lexi~ How old is Lexi? You've only had her 2 weeks, give her some time to relax and de-stress from the change.

To crate train the pup, make sure you have a blanket, stuffed animal (about their size) and white noise (ticking clock or ipod with soft music) so the pup can sleep. The pup is used to cuddling with siblings.

Make the crate the pup*s happy place to go to when he wants to sleep, decompress or just hang out.

Here's some great info to house train the pup: http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/virtual-pet-behaviorist/dog-behavior/house-training-your-puppy

I agree with musicdeb, although I have 2 and they can snuggle together when they were little I left the tv on they seemed to do well just knowing they weren't alone, although they do have square eyes now they both love Animal planet lol they seriously watch It Its hilarious, but on a serious note our breeder also gave us a toy that they each had bonded with that they slept with, so a combo of that and tv or radio that seemed to do the trick.

Loved the blog btw, really cute!
