Horny Hound Humps my baby Corso :(

So I have the most disgusting dog story ever. I'm @ the dog park and there's like 15 dogs running around. This old horny hound keeps following my 5 mth old Rocco around and barking. Every time Rocco sits still, he jumps on his back n tries to hump him. Now Roc is still kinda timid around dogs he doesn't know so, he'd wrestle him off and run to me. I start talking to this guy and then I see Rocco on the ground fighting for his life. I call him over and as he comes running, I notice some white stuff on his leg! The damn hound shot off on my dog's leg!!???

IT GETS WORSE . I take a stick and wipe it off and when I go throw it away, Rocco picks it up and eats it!!?? I'm taking my dog home to cry for his manhood n throw him in the shower :(:(

While the story was a tad funny, I feel your sense of loss for his manhood. We were staying with some friends before we moved from Hawaii to North Carolina last month. We have a 2.5 yr old fixed male shih tzu and they have a 7 month old little mutt(no clue what it really has in it), anywho, this puppy would hump my Gizmo.....and no not the traditional way, he would hump his face! I felt soo bad for him, b/c no matter what I did or how many times I moved him away from him he would go right back. Finally Giz bit him really good right on his little manhood and the pup whimpered away for a bit before starting the assault again:(

poor baby! But good for him for nipping him in the nuggets! I kinda wish Rocco was more agressive. I kept saying on the way home to him "wait till you get big baby, they wont dare try that again!" He looked so sad :(

No other dogs have tried to hump apollo but usually theres a dog or two who was tries to establish there dominance with him because apollo is already 56 pounds and a big pup so they will get nasty but apollo just plays with them

LOL...that's funny but gross!

I would have ripped that guy a new one for not controlling his dog....probably why I don't go to dog parks!

There is a dog park by my house that I took a foster pup to once. She was about 4 months old, purebred lab. They have their yards separated for large & small dogs. Since technically she wouldn't really be considered a small dog I started to walk her over to the large dog yard. This lady comes running up to the gate & basically pushes the gate shut right in my face. She proceeds to tell me to not bring the pup into that yard because her dog has a strong prey drive & would probably chase her down & attack the shit out I her. I said excuse me?! You have an aggressive dog at a DOG PARK?! Ugh!!! Why I don't go to dog parks anymore. Funny how one ignorant person can ruin it for you & your dog.

I was happy he stood up for himself the best he could but it was soo sad and irritating. His owners just said, well he's not used to other dogs, they don't socialize him. It was a long 3 days.

Funny! And yet, so disturbing!
Was the hound not fixed?? And... is it really a dominance play if the hound actually gets off??

... but, I'd have to agree... your Rocco is a really, really PRETTY puppy!! LOL!

I'd also say bad, bad hound owner - if he saw you were disturbed by his hound's behavior, he should have gone in and pulled his hound off - and away... far, far away, from your puppy. There are definitely some people who should NOT go to dog parks. Including anyone who has to patrol newcomers and warn PUPPIES away form the park because they have an attack dog there!! WHAA!!?!!?? No self-respecting adult dog would ever attack a PUPPY! Good Grief!!

Yeah, Rocco is my 1st pet as an Adult and i am new to the whole dog park ettiquitte. From what i can tell, it's very "clique" oriented and although i will say most of the dogs and owners are well behaved, there are a hand full that have no control. Wasnt sure if i should touch her dog or if that is a no no but best believe i scooped up my Rocco and left while he still had an ounce of dignity! HAHA
