Hi all! Im new! I have a 4 months, 80 something lbs, english mastiff named Athena. Ive had her since she was 7 weeks. She's my first "real" dog but i have a question. Im feeding her Large Puppy Blue Buffalo. How much should i be feeding her a day?? And if i should switch to regular adult kind, how much of that should i feed her? thank you!

Mastiffs do not need to be on a puppy formula ever. How much is she eating of the puppy food? When you do the transition to adult food be sure to do it slow as to not upset her system. FYI Mastiffs are known to be sensitive to chicken and grains. I would do a search on BB and decide if that is the brand you would like to keep her on there is some controversy surrounding them.

BTW

Welcome and we would love to see pics

I feed my EM TOTW Sierra Mountain. As for how much? Unfortunately there is no way anyone can actually give you an exact number. I started by feeding the amount that the bag recommended and then adjusted by his body condition. Whenever indeed to change brands I calculate how many calories he is eating of the old food and then how much of the new food equals that calorie total. Kryten has always eaten more than the recommended amount despite a low activity level, whereas my other dog eats the lower amount for his size despite being the energizer bunny on speed. In fact Jiggers is only 5lbs heavier than my parents dog but Katusha eats twice the amount he does.
