Hygroma Treatment

Hi, I'd like to know if anyone has had any experience treating canine hygromas. Is it curable, will it go away, or is it something that once developed will always be there? Thank you.

Lillie had one when I first got her at 4 months. I asked several people what to do about it and they said "leave it alone" so I did and it went away. Like I said she was 4 months when I got her and she is now 1 year old and you can't even see where it was. It got to be the size of a large lemon. I was told it was caused by her flopping down on the hard floors or just sleeping on hard floors. She has always had a very soft bed to sleep on here so I think that helped. You didn't say how old your dog is.
I hope this helps.

Soft area's for rest, and making sure they don't throw themselves on the floor is the way to help it. DO NOT have a vet drain it. It can get infected, and you'll have more problems.
