I think I've lost my mind...

That's so nice of you Amanda...those girls will finally get all the love, care and attention they deserve. I hope they become buddies with the boys eventually...that would be great. All the best :)

Is it just me or do they look like dane mastiff crosses? they look real daney in the face and longer looking legs in some of the pics.

I was thinking the same "daniffs"

But regardless of what they are they look so sweet! Amanda I'm happy for you! :) Be sure to take more pictures so we can see them.

Thanks everyone! I couldn't resist those sweet faces. I would love to reply to each individual reply but I am absolutely exhausted! I had a horrid day at work and then got injured so my Sgt. made me go to the clinic. I didn't get out of there until 6:30 and then had to go back to work to pick up crates for the girls! I still haven't had lunch or dinner and my breakfast was a protein shake and banana! I am ready to have a drink and crash. Ok enough of the rant. I came home and the girls were so happy to see me. I set up the crates and fed them each in their own. They went in without issue and waited for me to let them out. The bigger of the two is alpha and seems to need the most work. But considering where they came from they are really great! My daughter and her friend took them out walking on leash this morning for 30 minutes and I took them again when I got home. They are responding very well to the leash so far. They are now fast asleep on their beds :) I am going to eat and crash! I'll try to get more pics posted tomorrow.
Here! Here! On taking them in!

It's wonderful that you were able to take them into your home. You knew you were sunk when you're husband said they were coming over, right? I'd be sunk too, but would LOVE a husband who brings me dogs! Ha Ha Ha!!
Yes I did. Funny thing is, I'm always the one bringing things home. He is always telling me not to! I couldn't believe he even called to tell me about them in the first place. It is totally out of character but I'm not complaining :)

Update: Last Friday I took the pups to meet a couple. I work with the guys mom and they were very interested in a pup. So Butter (the runt) did not love their dog Po. He is an 8 month old german shorthair pointer with an insane amount of energy! Butter immediately went off and that was that. She did not like Po in her space. lol Razz (the one that I thought would have the issue) did ok. She was a little unsure but put Po in his place and that was that. We left her for the night to see how they would do. I got a text last night and they have named her Lucy, which means she is a keeper! They are in love and she and Po are doing great together. I couldn't be happier with where she ended up. They are very nice people with a privacy fenced yard and they don't live far so we can visit :) I still have Butter. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow to get checked out. Her belly has not been well. She is fine on the chicken and rice but if she eats kibble she has terrible diarrhea. Last night it was bloody. She may have some type of parasite so we are going to get her all fixed up. I'm not sure if she is still looking for a home...we have gotten very attached. But to the perfect home I may be willing to part with her :)

Keep her Amanda ;) What is another mastiff really :D
I know that's exactly what I was thinking! lol when you have two big ones, what's one more? Except for food, vet bills and bed space lol I haven't made a decision yet but she is very attached to me. Jax is not loving it one bit. They have "mom wars" as my son calls it. Butter is getting lovins and Jax plows his big self between us, then she wiggles back in front. They could go on like that forever! Its really funny to watch and there is zero aggression between them. She is still not comfortable or confident enough to play with him but I can't say I blame her. She is so skinny and he is very wide lol

That is wonderful news! I love the name "Butter".

Congrats on a job well done!
Thanks AB :) My cousin's daughter fell in love with her when she first arrived. She called her Butterscotch. I was really hoping they would take her but its a no go there. So I just call her Butter or Butters :)

quick question...Butter has an appointment this morning with the vet for her tummy troubles. Should I hold off on her vaccinations until her belly issues have settled? I was thinking I should but would like other opinions. Thanks

How is Mr Parker doing with her? I would wait on the vaccinations as well. Get her all healthy then do them. As for vet bills... I have found the easiest way is to work at a vet clinic and get everything for free lmao, damn it saves a lot of money :D

Thanks ladies :) I opted out on the vaccs today. I didn't take her to my vet, couldn't get her in so I went to a vet close to my house. They asked me to carry her in lol she only weighs 52 pounds but she's all legs and I'm not very big myself. I imagine it was a sight to see! They did a parvo test which came back negative. Her fecal showed that she is loaded with whipworms and hookworms. They gave Metronidazole (antibiotic) and panacur. I have to take her back for another fecal in two weeks. They also gave me prescription ID food for the next week. She is not very happy with me at the moment. She wouldn't take the pill in her food or anything else so I had to put it down her throat. She was not thrilled with the panacur either. After the meds she went into her crate and laid down lol She is currently pouting. She did very well at the clinic until the last tech came in. She watched her every move and then growled at her. I didn't like her much myself so I chalked it up to instinct :)

Mr. Parker is doing ok. He did snap at her yesterday for walking between him and Jax but that was the first and last time lol As soon as he did it he looked at me and squished his face and wiggled himself silly. He knew he was out of line as soon as he did it. And as for the vet bills...I have thought of making a career change for that reason alone! I LOVE my job and just don't think I would be as happy in a clinic doing the same thing day in and day out. But with Jax it would definitely save me a fortune!! Oh I forgot to mention, the vet today came in and said the parvo test was negative and told me about the worms. Before she even examined Butter, she suggested having her spayed as soon as she is feeling better! OMG really?! I couldn't believe it. I know others have posted about vets pressuring into spay/neuter but I have never had that experience before. I was really shocked. lol

She is looking so much better!

I'm sure you know but the parasites are very contagious. If Jax and Parker catch them you can buy Panacur from Amazon, it might be cheaper than the vet. If you can pick up her poop ASAP and I carry a spray bottle with a bleach solution to spray the area with.

Thanks for the info, I will probably get some. Do you know if they carry it at TSC? I feed the boys DE daily but I may give them panacur also just to be safe.
