Insurance???

Does anyone have pet insurance? I have been getting quotes for my 7mo old EM but I am not sure which one to go with. I am leaning towards pets best...any help would be great I want to sign him up soon! Thanks

I have Trupanion on my girl. If they are under one you can add HD coverage for 5$. They offer unlimited coverage on issues so no cap per issue and you can pick your deductible. I pay under 50$ per month with 150$ deductible. Over a 10 year period I will have paid 6000$ dollars, which is one surgery on a mastiff.
My vet said they are the easiest company to work with and a lot of my friends have them as well.

Thank you! I like the no caps per issue due to the fact that I recently have come to find out he will eat anything and all the price horror stories of those blocked surgeries worry me.

I've been hearing mixed opinions about pet insurance. Most people say it is crap and not worth it. What does pet insurance cover? Do they pay up front or reimburse you?

Note about Trupanion.
After having the insurance for a year, never having used it, due to an "adjustment" my rate went from 47$ a month to 96$. It seems I am not alone in the giant price jump. At the year anniversary they double the premium. I am taking back what I said, it seemed too good to be true cause, that's right, it is.
When I called to complain, I was told every one was getting the adjustment on their anniversary of the date joined.
On their FB wall there are a lot of ppl who had their rate double.
