Hi, all. I've just been engaged in an unbelievably vicious debate on another mastiff forum in which reason has given way to name calling, invective, sarcasm, bullying and personal insults and slurs -- around a topic that I naively believed would unite mastiff lovers.

I am so, so grateful I belong to this forum, and for the presence and contributions of everyone here. Also, for skillful moderation. I know we occasionally have our tensions and disagreements, but generally, it is a very supportive environment! :grouphug:

Glad there's not too many "heated" debates that involve that leave of immaturity where people feel its necessary to call others names, etc. kudos to you all! :)

Yes I agree this forum has made it very easy for beginners like myself to feel at home and secure enough to ask questions and not be chastised because of the lack of knowledge with certain things!!!! I love this board!

Whoops, I forgot what forum I was on. This is a great one and I appreciate that AK treats it just like a mastiff. Firm but gentle and allows some shenanigans.

This a great place. I recommend it to everyone I meet who has a mastiff of any kind, with the temptation of just recommending it to dog owners in general.

It is a great place. I for one have learned a ton about some breeds thanks to the folks here.
There is nothing wrong with debates and disagreements as long as it remains respectful :)
The differing opinions are where we learn the most.

i have a few family members with mastiffs that are just finding out about this place.I was 1st !!

I love this place!!! I have learned somuch and sharing some of the craziness that we go through with the pups makes it a lot easier to deal with.

I definitely agree! I'm new here and will be a first time EM owner next month. I have learned so much so far, and welcome the knowledge I will gain in the future as well:)
